Receiving and Reading Messages Protect and Unprotect Messages

The Select button "A" is used to select pager functions. The Mode/light button "B" is used to scan pager modes and turn on the pager's LCD backlight. To
turn Pager ON: Press "C" button To turn Pager OFF: Press and release "B" until POWER OFF? is displayed. 1) Press and release "B" until SET DATE? is displayed. 2) Press "A" The day digits flash. 3) Press and release "B" to set the day digits. 4) Press "A" The month digits flash. 5) Press and release "B" to set the month digit. 6) Press "A" The year digit flashes. 7) Press and release "B" to set the year digits. 8) Press "C" to confirm adjustment and return to the standby screen. You can set your pager to turn on or turn off at a selected time of day. To Enable Auto ON/OFF: 1) Press and release "B" until SET AUTO? is displayed. 2) Press "A" 3) Press and release "B" until AUTO ON is displayed. To Set the ON/OFF Times: 1) While the AUTO ON is displayed press "A" to display the automatic ON time. 2) Press "B" and "A" to set the automatic ON time. 3) Press "A" to display the automatic OFF time. 4) Press "B" and "A" to set the automatic ON time. 5) Press "C" to confirm setting. To Disable Automatic ON/OFF: 1) Press and release "B" until SET AUTO? is displayed. 2) Press "A". 3) Press and release "B" until AUTO -- is displayed. 4) Press "C" to return to standby screen. You can set your pager's alarm to alert at a certain time of day. To Enable the Alarm: 1) Press and release "B" until SET ALARM? is displayed. 2) Press "A". The first set of alarms will be displayed. 3)Press and release "B" to switch the set of alarm or press "A" to select. 4) Press and release "B" to enable the alarm. 5) Press "A" and "B" to set the alarm time then press "C" to confirm setting. When the alarm is enabled, ì indicator will display on the standby screen, even if the pager is turned off. To Disable the Alarm: 1) Follow the enable alarm instructions above to disable the alarm of you choice. 2) Press and release "B" until SET ALARM? is displayed. This unit operates with one AAA alkiline battery. To retain pager settings and messages, turn the pager off before replacing the battery. Battery replacements must be finished within 3 seconds. 1) Turn pager off. 2) Open the battery cover, slide the door until the battery can be lifted free of the housing. 3) Align the new battery +/-. 4) Align the grooves on the battery cover with the grooves on the back cover to put the battery cover back on the pager. |
To
turn Back light ON and OFF: Press and hold "B" at any time to turn the light on. Press and hold "B" again to turn the light off. 1) Press and release "B" until SET TIME? is displayed. 2) Press "A". The hour digits begin to flash. Press and release "B" to set the hour digits. 3) Press "A". The first digit of the minute flashes. Press and release "B" to set the first digit of the minutes. 4) Press "A". The second digit of the minute flashed. Press and release "B" to set the second digit of the minutes. *Note - if your pager was previously set for 24 hour time format, step 5 is omitted. 5) Press "A". The AM/PM indicator flashes. Press and release "B" to select A or P. 6) Press "A". The 12/24 hour indicator flashes. Press and release "B" to select 12 or 24 hour time format. 7) Press "C" to confirm the adjustment and return to the standby screen.
Set the Incoming Message Alert You can set your pager to alert with TONE alert, MOTOR alert or MUTE alert. 1) Press and release "B" until SET ALERT? is displayed. 2) Press "A" to select. 3) Press and release "B" until your choice of TONE 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 is displayed. The pager gives a sample of each alert while scrolling through the alerts menu. 4) Press "C" to activate your selection and return to the standby screen.
If TONE alert mode was selected, you can set your pager to alert with one of seven melody alerts or one of five tone alerts. 1) Press and release "B" until SET TONE? is displayed. 2) Press "A" to select. 3) Press and release "B" until your choice of TONE 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 is displayed. The pager gives a sample of each alert while scrolling through the alerts menu. 4) Press "C" to activate your selection and return to the standby screen.
Receiving and Reading Messages If there is no received messages or all messages were deleted, the word NO PAGES will be displayed. When a new message is received, the pager alerts (vibration or audible) for eight seconds, unless the pager is set to MUTE. A message indicator in the upper left-hand corner of the message screen indicates how many messages you have received. 1) Press any button to stop the alert. 2) Press "C" to display the message. The message number will be displaying at the upper left-hand corner of the message screen. The u indicator at the upper right-hand corner of the message screen indicates the message is continued on an additional screen. 3) Press "C" again to display the second screen of the message and the time stamp. If messages are left unread, the pager gives a reminder alert every two minutes. The number of unread messages will display on the screen. You must read all of the unread messages for the pager to return to the standby screen.
Protect and Unprotect Messages You can protect up to ten messages so they will not be deleted or replaced by new message. To Protect a message: 1) While the message is displayed, press and release "B" until PROTECT is displayed. 2) Press "A". When reading a protected message, Ï will display at the upper portion of the screen. To Unprotect a message: 1) While the protected message is displayed, press and release "B" until UNPROTECT is displayed. 2) Press "A". The Ï symbol will disappear.
Delete Individual Message: 1) While the message is displayed, press and release "B" until DELETE is displayed. 2) Press "A" All remaining messages are moved to the next available message slot. Delete All Messages: 1) While standby screen displays, press and release "B" until DELETE ALL? is displayed. 2) Press "A". All read and unprotected messages are deleted from memory. This function will only be displayed when there is message in memory. This pager is durable, reliable, and can provide years of dependable service: however, it is a precision electronic product. Water, moisture, excessive heat, and extreme shock may damage the pager. 1) Don't use any solvents to clean this pager! You can use a soft, dry clean clth to clean the surface of this pager. 2) Don't store or expose this pager under extreme temperature, humidity or directly under sunlight. 3) Don't apply strong shock, pressure to this pager or drop this pager. 4) If this pager won't be used for a period of time, please remove the battery. Battery fluid leakage may damage this pager seriously. ***To avoid Battery Fluid leakage, replace a new battery when low battery indicator is displayed. Caution: Any changes or modifications in construction of this device that are not expressly approved by the party that is responsible for the compliancy could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. |
