TURNING PAGER ON/OFF To turn your pager off, press Function button. When "SET ALERT" is displayed, press and release function button to scan menu until "POWER OFF" is displayed. Press Read button to turn off. Press Function button for 2 seconds to turn pager on. Press Function button to activate lamp. Backlight remains on for 4 seconds before automatically turned off. Press Function button. Then "SET ALERT" is displayed. Press Function button repeatedly until "SET TIME" is displayed. Press Read button to select menu. The month indicator begins to blink. Press Function button to move to the desired
number. Press Repeat above to set all fields. Please adjust the date in February of ordinary year because the pager will go to February 29 regardless of leap year. There are 5 beeps, 5 melodies or vibrate. Press Function button, Then "SET ALERT?" is displayed. Press Read button to select menu. Press Function button to change the type of alert, each alerting sound for approximately 10 seconds. Press Read button when the screen displays an alert you want. From standby, press Function button "SET ALERT" is displayed. Press and release Function button until "SET ALARM?" displays. Press Read button to activate alarm menu. Choose "Alarm 1" for daily alarm and choose "Alarm 2" for one time alarm by pressing Function button. When the desired alarm displays, press Read button. Select "On" by pressing Function button. Press Read button to confirm. Press Function button to enter the hour to the desired hour. Then press Read button to confirm. Repeat the steps above to set each field. The standby screen displays the alarm icon. (see icons above) From standby press Function button "SET ALERT" is displayed. Press and release Function button until "SET AUTO" is displayed. Press Read button. Press Function button to select "On". Then press Read button to confirm. Follow same procedures of time setting to set the on and off times. The standby screen will display Auto Time icon. (see icons above) |
READING MESSAGES When a message is received, X either audibly alerts or vibrates and displays the message. To stop alert, press any button. If the pager has any unread message, the screen displays "01 PAGES". Press Read button to display the message. The screen displays the time the message was received. Press Read button again to display the message. If the message is continued to next page, press Read button again to read the continued message. DISPLAY If the pager receives a duplicate message, the duplicate icon displays on bottom of the screen. (see icons above) If the pager has 16 messages, the full messages icon is displayed. (see icons). If the pager receives more than 16 messages, the oldest message gets deleted as new message is received. When the pager has no messages, the screen displays "NO PAGES" upon pressing Read button. After reading a message, press Function button. "LOCK" is displayed. Press Function button again. "DELETE?" displayed. Press Read button to confirm. If you want to exit this mode, press Function button. ERASE ALL MESSAGES "DELETE ALL" command erases all messages except the locked messages. Press Function button. "SET ALERT?" is displayed. Press Function button repeatedly until "DELETE ALL" is displayed. Press Function button to erase all messages. Up to 14 messages can be locked. After reading a message press Function button. "LOCK" is displayed. Press the Read button to lock the message. To read a locked message, press Function button "SET LOCK FNC" is displayed. Press Read button to read locked message. From the standby screen press Function button, "SET ALERT" is displayed. Press and release Function button until "SET GREETING" is displayed. Then press Read button to confirm. Press Function button to select the first character then press Read button to confirm. Repeat above steps until you have entered the entire message, up to 12 characters. Twenty ready messages are permanently stored in the memory of Nixxo X. When the pager receives a code number instead of phone number, it activates ready messages. To send ready messages, enter * and then a code number of ready message. For example; entering code *020 will display "CALL HOME" on the screen.
