TURNING PAGER ON

Pressing any button for more than 2 seconds will turn your pager on. A start up screen is displayed momentarily followed by a short beep alert.

TURNING PAGER OFF

Press and release the mode button until "PAGER OFF" is displayed.

Press the read button to turn off the pager.  The off screen will be displayed without any icons.

RECEIVING AND READING MESSAGES

Your pager can receive up to twenty numeric messages. Each message 20 characters. When a message is received, your pager alerts for eight seconds.  In the corner of the screen, there will be a number.  That number indicates how many numeric messages were received.

Press any button to stop the alert.

Press the read button to display the numeric message.

Press the read button again to display the second screen of the message, when the message is longer than twelve characters in order to receive the whole message.

MESSAGE CONTINUED/MESSAGE FULL

When the message is longer than 12 characters, the message continuation (above) symbol is displayed.

Press the read button again to display the remainder of the numeric message.

When the pager receives up to 20 messages, "FULL" is displayed for four seconds. If a new message is received, the oldest unlocked message will be replaced with the new message.

UNREAD MESSAGES/NO PAGES/TONE ONLY

If messages are unread, a reminder alert is given 4 times every 5 minutes. "UNREAD" will be displayed with the number of unread messages.

If no messages are received, "NO PAGES" is displayed when you press the read button.

When tone only is displayed on the pager screen, the caller paged you without sending a numeric message.

DUPLICATED MESSAGES

If a new numeric message is received and is exactly the same as a message already in memory, the duplicate message icon (above) displays to indicate that. The new duplicate message will replace the old duplicated message and the timestamp will also be replaced with the newer message as well.

EMERGENCY MESSAGE/MESSAGE HOLD TIME

If the caller needs to send an emergency page, the tone of the numeric message received will be different from the set alert.

The caller must press 999 and then the numeric message in order to activate this option.

When you need to display your message longer than the standard time (8 seconds), press and hold the read button for over 4 seconds. Your pager will allow you to look at the message for over 30 seconds.

SETTING PAGER ALERT

There are three different types of alert:

Tone alert (5 different short beep chirps), Audible melody (5 different melodic tones), Motor alert ( vibrator with no alert tone), There is also an option of silent. (no alert).

To set the Tone or Melody alerts: From the standby screen, press and release the mode button until "ALERT TONE" is displayed.

Press the read button until "TONE" is displayed.

Press and release the mode button until your choice of TONE1, TONE2, TONE3, TONE4, or TONE5 is displayed. The pager produces a sample of each tone alert.

Press the read button twice to activate your selection and to return to the standby screen.

Vibrate Alert

From standby, press and release the mode button until "ALERT TONE" is displayed.

Press and release the read button until "MOTOR" is displayed.

Press the mode button to activate your selection and to return to the standby screen.

Silent Alert

Follow the vibrator alert setting instructions to set pager silent.

BACK LIGHT

In low-light conditions, the back light makes the LCD screen easy to read.

Press and hold any button for over 2 seconds to activate light.

The light will remain on for approximately 8 seconds and will return to the standby screen.

BATTERY INFORMATION

This unit uses AAA size alkaline batteries. Your pager will alert short beeps 4 times every 5 minutes, notifying you that the battery is in need of being replaced.

 

 

   

SETTING THE ALERT TIME

You can set your pager for how long it will alert when a numeric message is being received.

From the standby screen, press and release the mode button until "ALERT TIME" is displayed. 

Press and release the READ Button until your choice of 8-sec., 12-sec., or 4-sec is displayed.

Press the MODE Button to activate your selection and return to the standby screen.

PROTECTING AND UNPROTECTING MESSAGES

You can protect up to 10 messages so that they are not erased or replaced by new messages.

To Protect: While the message is displayed, press the MODE Button until the lock symbol is displayed on the screen. When reading a protected message, the lock symbol will be displayed.

To Unprotect: While the protected message is displayed with the lock symbol, press the MODE Button. The lock symbol will disappear. When you have protected 10 messages, "LOC FULL" is displayed.

ERASING MESSAGES

Erasing Individual Message:  From the standby screen, press and release the MODE Button until "ERASE?" I is displayed.

Press the READ Button to select "ERASE ONE" then press the MODE Button to select the message that is to be erased.

After finding the message to be erased, press the READ Button. "SURE?" will be displayed.

Press the MODE Button and then "ERASED" will be displayed.

After 4 seconds, you will return to the standby screen.  The message selected will be completely erased. All remaining messages will be moved to the next available message slot.

To Erase ALL Messages: Follow the erasing individual message instructions and select "ERASE ALL" instead of "ERASE ONE".

Press the MODE Button and "SURE?" will be displayed.

Press the READ Button and "COMPLETED" will be displayed. All unprotected messages will be erased from memory.

TIME AND DATE SETTING

From the standby screen press and release the MODE Button until "SET TIME" is displayed.

Press the READ Button and the month digits will begin to flash.

Press and release the READ Button to set the month digits.

Press the MODE Button and day digits will begin to flash.

Press and release the READ Button to set the date digits.

Press the MODE Button and the hour digits will begin to flash.

Follow the same instructions above to set the hour, minute and A for AM, P for PM.

ALARM SETTING

To enable the Alarm:  From the standby screen, press and release the MODE Button until "SET ALARM" is displayed.

Press the READ Button until "ALARM ON" is displayed with the symbol.

Press the MODE Button and then the hour digits will flash.  Follow the time and date setting instructions to set the time for the alarm to sound.

To disable the Alarm:  Press and release the MODE Button until "SET ALARM" is displayed. Then press the READ Button until "ALARM OFF" is displayed.

Press and release the MODE Button. Then allow the pager to automatically return to the standby screen.

AUTOMATIC ON/OFF

This feature allows you to turn on and off at a selected time of day.  To enable Auto On/Off:

Press and release the MODE Button until "AUTO POWER" is displayed.

Press the READ Button until "AUTO ON" is displayed with the symbol. Then press the MODE Button and then the hour digits will flash. Please follow the time/date setting instructions to set the on/off time.

Press the MODE Button to set the time and hour digits when flashing. Again please refer to the time/date setting instructions to set the time.

To disable Auto On/Off:  Press and release the MODE Button until "AUTO POWER" is displayed.

Press the READ Button until "AUTO OFF" is displayed.

Press and release the MODE Button. Then allow the pager to automatically return to the standby screen.

BACK UP

All protected messages, the time/date, alarm, on/off time and all alerts will remain in memory when the battery is replaced using this option.

Press and release MODE Button until "BAC-UP?" is displayed.

Press the READ Button and then 'COMPLETED" will be momentarily displayed. Then it will automatically return to the standby screen.
